A winter stay in Antholz Valley in the holiday region of the Kronplatz in South Tyrol

The romantic valley is one of the most beautiful and undisturbed valleys of South Tyrol, a secret tip for the nature lover and seeker of relaxation, as well as a paradise for touring and cross country ski-ing.

In the winter months, the Johanneshof has close by the Riepenlift for families with children. The Riepenlift is 1600 m long and covers a difference in elevation of 380 m. It is therefore also suited to skiers who have some experience. There is a ski-ing school and ski rental at the Berghotel. Therefore: you can go from your holiday home directly onto the ski slopes!

The Antholz valley is a wonderful centre for cross country ski-ing for anyone wishing to discover a quiet winter landscape on cross-country skis. In our little Paradise everyone can find what he is looking for: 60 km track in all grades of difficulty with 30 km of this in the famous cross country ski-ing and biathlon facility on and around Lake Antholz. The biathlon centre in Antholz Obertal (1600 m) is assured of snow and can be reached with your own car or with the gratis ski-bus, that does the trip several times a day.

Exchange the holder of the ski lift with snow shoes, experience the deep, quiet, rolling mountains, trace your own track into the soft, dusty, powdery snow… Snow shoe walks represent an absolute harmony with nature. But keep carefully in mind: you need sound equipment, a good condition, extensive planning of the tour as well as knowledge of the natural dangers.
